Curvy Girls' Night Out--A Boudoir Photoshoot at Strut!

I have long thought about doing a boudoir photo shoot as a little something sexy for my beloved. But our engagement passed. Then our wedding. Then our first anniversary. And now it's almost Valentine's Day and I STILL haven't mustered up the courage to do it. I kept looking at images of these model-esque women standing in doorways or lounging in barely-there lingerie and thought, what about my, um, you know... rolls?! 

Then I met Olivia of BlueiConcepts Photography and she convinced me that curvy and plus size girls can look incredible. Here's proof:

 
What man wouldn't DROOL over that!? I think the secret is to work with someone you feel comfortable with, and who knows how to find flattering angles (not necessarily full body shots). Check out the sheet casually draped across her tummy. Here's another beautiful shot:

 
Why do we show you these photos? Well, we want our curvy brides (recent, upcoming, one-day-will-be-a-bride-but-haven't-found-the-right-person) to look and feel equally stunning, sowe want to host a Curvy Girls' Night Out boudoir photo shoot right here at Strut! Here are the specs:

• Friday, November 4th, 4-10pm
• You'll get 2 outfits (roughly 15 min for each outfit)
• Photography, hair and makeup, plus one image for just $175

How will it work? Well, we'll cover the windows and door to prevent peepers (and car accidents!). It'll be semi-private, which means one girl will be in hair and makeup while another is working with Olivia. We'll provide some light munchies as well as the bubbly (gotta have bubbly!) and some props (yep, we're actually bringing in a mattress for this!). You bring clothing you'll be comfortable in. Here are some ideas:

• Sexy robe
• Lingerie
• Your guy's workshirt
• His favorite team jersey
• Jewelry (necklace, bracelet)
• High heel shoes
• Garter belt and hosiery
• Button up shirt and push up bra

Again, the purpose of this is to make you look and feel amazing. So wear what you're comfortable in (Ann will help style you!). And think about what is sexy to your significant other. Maybe it's a sly smile with some wispy bangs over your eyes. Maybe he loves just the curve of your hip. Maybe he goes crazy for those high heel shoes you seldom wear. You don't have to be in a bra and tiny panties to look hot!

So, let's recap: hair and makeup professionally done for you, styling help, photoshoot (check out Olivia's website here), gift image (with option to buy more) for just $175. You just put $100 down to hold your place and pay the balance on that Friday night. Bring a girlfriend who's been thinking about doing this, too!
